Then one day John came. John is also English, like me, and he is a potter and a sculptor. He and Alexandra started talking about Ceramics. (I didn't know what that was then). Alexandra told him she had studied ceramics too, in a place called Tennessee. Then showed him something she called a "kiln". Actually, I had been wondering about this huge thing that was sitting there, taking up lots of space in what she called "the Studio".

Well, they were both very excited and I was excited too! I didn't quite know why, but I like being excited and jumping and barking, and rolling on my back .....It all felt very good.... And they seemed very happy, and in the end, they even gave me a cookie!

We spent the winter on Astypalea. It was cold and the wind was very, very strong...we couldn't go swimming because the sea was terribly rough and wild. . There was always a big fire burning in the fire- place, and I lay on the couch with my cat brothers. I haven't told you, but in the mean time I have 5 cat brothers!! They are great company and we play a lot.....In this cold weather we didn't feel like doing anything and it was so cozy in front of the fire, so we all went to sleep on the couch..
